EBONY SOCIETY - SHORT FILM EXCERPT
After a long stint as an actor on New Zealands longest running drama and in the odd feature, Tammy decided to direct his first short film Ebony Society. This film has gone on to win awards and be recognised around the world. With the success came the opportunity to once again direct. This came in the form of Sonny, my older brother.
Since then Tammy have made two 90minute dramas for the Maori tv station directing plays with Takirua theatre company. All of this has encouraged him to continue to tell his own stories. He is currently working on a feature based on his first short and eager to join the likes of Taika Waititi, Barry Barclay and Merata Mita as a Maori features director.
